My name is Erin Ryan, and I live and work in Miami.  Since the age of 10, I have spent most of my time practicing my passion which is painting and drawing.  I graduated from Florida State University, where I was formally trained in ceramics, sculpture, portraiture, faux finishing, furniture painting and furniture restoration.  Since that time, I have been working as an independent contract artist doing faux finishing, decorative murals, and custom paintings for clients in the Southeast.

Much of my artwork consists of original watercolor and oil paintings that depict scenes of different places around the state of Florida.  Some are painted from photographs I have taken, and some were painted in plein air.  Being a native Floridian, I have always been intrigued by our state’s unique landscape and old Spanish-style architecture.  Living in Miami provides me the perfect surroundings for the tropical “still lives” you’ll see in my website.
